I think something like a separate discord module (something similar to one-note's quick-note functionality) for instant note-taking synchronized to whichever server and channel you want to send that note to. (because of course i'm not always in my note-taking server, as I ofc also use discord's community live-chat within the many other servers I am in. I find it incredibly discouraging to take notes when every time I need to make a tiny adjustment to what I typed down previously, or a simple extra detail addition, I may need to deal with the long loading time of discord (and I would have to close discord to save on bandwidth often, so I don't always have it in the background) and/or go through a long list of navigating to exactly where I want to send my notes to. It's extremely useful when u can take notes when you remembered something to write down and can do so within 5 seconds before you forget all the details of what to write down. Convenience of Note-taking Speed Efficiency to Encourage on-the-spot Note-taking There are plenty of issues that could be worked on to make discord a superior note-taking mechanism, both somewhat niche and others not so much: (although I feel the first point listed on here is one of the most essential characteristics that I find a lot of other note-taking methods lack)ġ. So I strongly urge consideration in this area. ![]() And plenty people have been known to make their own personal servers with many channels designated towards keeping information from either pertaining to general notes, to to-do lists, or even college course class notes. For one, it's overlay and UI are far more user-friendly and eye-pleasing in comparison to ever-note, and far more reliably prevents data deletion as opposed to Microsoft sticky-notes. I KNOW for a fact that there is a large audience of people (and a large potential MARKET) who would want to use discord as a note-taking software. To clarify a bit more, I think this should be a concept for future development to be kept in mind rather than something super specific, as I believe there are a lot of ways one could go about this.
